B — Participation Briefwisseling houdende een verdrag tussen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden, ten behoeve van Curaçao, en de Organisatie der Verenigde Naties voor Onderwijs, Wetenschap en Cultuur (UNESCO) betreffende de negentiende zitting van de Intergouvernementele Oceanografische Commissie (IOC) voor de "Tsunami and other Coastal Hazards Warning System for the Caribbean and Adjacent Regions" (ICG/CARIBE EWS-XIX), te Willemstad, Curaçao, van 20 tot en met 24 april 2026

Participation

1. In accordance with the Resolution IOC-XXIII-13 of the UNESCO's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) Executive Council, and Article 6 paragraph C.10 of the Statutes of the IOC, the following participants are invited to take part in the Meeting:

a) IOC ICG/CARIBE-EWS Member States;

2. Observers to this meeting shall include:

a) Other IOC Member States;

b) Organizations (including NGOs), programmes and projects, who are invited in accordance with the IOC rules and procedures.

3. In addition, in conformity with Article 6, paragraph C.10, of the Statutes of the IOC, the following persons shall be invited to participate, without the right to vote:

a) Representatives of Member States of organizations of the United Nations system, which are not members of the IOC;

b) Representatives of organizations of the United Nations system; and

c) Representatives of such other intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations as may be invited subject to conditions specified in the IOC Rules of Procedure.

The total number of participants, including representatives, observers and members of the UNESCO Secretariat, is expected to be about 60 participants.

I have the honour to submit for your consideration the customary proposals regarding arrangements for the holding of this meeting.
