Article 4 Overeenkomst tussen de Benelux-Staten (het Koninkrijk België, het Groothertogdom Luxemburg, het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden) en Belize inzake de terug- en overname van personen die onregelmatig op het grondgebied verblijven (terug- en overnameovereenkomst)

1 Proof of nationality pursuant to Article 2 of the Agreement can be furnished through the following documents:

1) a valid passport or replacement travel document with photo (laissez-passer);

2) a valid national identity card;

3) a valid military identity card or other armed forces personnel identity card with a photo of the holder;

4) a seaman’s identity card;

5) other official documents indicating the nationality of the person concerned, issued by the requested State and bearing a photo;

6) a document, as described above, which is no longer valid on the date on which the readmission application is sent;

7) a confirmation of identity as a result of a search carried out in the Visa Information System

1) Regulation (EC) No 767/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 July 2008 concerning the Visa Information System (VIS) and the exchange of data between Member States on short-stay visas (VIS Regulation), OJ L 218, 13.8.2008, p. 60.

2 Prima facie evidence of nationality pursuant to Article 2 of the Agreement can be furnished through the following documents or elements:

1) a copy of one of the documents mentioned in the first paragraph;

2) other documents (e.g. seaman´s book, driving licence) or data (including biometric data such as a photograph or fingerprints), which may help to establish the nationality of the person concerned;

3) a document indicating consular registration, a certificate of nationality or a certificate issued by the municipal registry of births, marriages and deaths;

4) a company identity card;

5) copies of the documents mentioned in points 2 to 4 of this paragraph;

6) a reliable witness statement;

7) the statement made by the person concerned.
