Your Excellency,

I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of Your Excellency's Note of today's date, and to inform you that in consideration of the willingness of the Netherlands Government to waive payment of registration dues or stamp duties in cases where property is acquired or leased in the Netherlands by His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom for diplomatic or consular purposes (that is to say, property to be used as Embassy premises or as a Consulate, or as the residence at The Hague of a Head of Mission or other diplomatic personnel, or as a consular residence) His Majesty's Government agree to waive payment of the Stamp Duty chargeable in cases where property is acquired or leased for like purposes in the United Kingdom by the Netherlands Government.

The present Note and Your Excellency's Note under reply are regarded as placing on record the agreement reached between our two Governments in this matter.
