Article 1 Overeenkomst tussen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en Ierland betreffende culturele samenwerking

The Contracting Parties shall promote co-operation between organisations and institutions in the fields of education (including the arts) and science. In particular, they shall support, as far as possible and on the basis of reciprocity:

(a) co-operation between universities and other institutions of learning and of higher education and visits by academic staff and students;

(b) co-operation between scientific institutions and visits by scientists and other experts;

(c) the granting of scholarships and fellowships for students and young research workers;

(d) the study and teaching of the languages, literature and culture of the other country at universities and other institutions of learning and of higher education;

(e) the exchange of information and documentation concerning developments in education, science and research in their countries.
