European landscape convention › CHAPTER I — GENERAL PROVISIONS

Article 1

For the purposes of the Convention:

a) ``Landscape" means an area, as perceived by people, whose character is the result of the action and interaction of natural and/or human factors;

b) ``Landscape policy" means an expression by the competent public authorities of general principles, strategies and guidelines that permit the taking of specific measures aimed at the protection, management and planning of landscapes;

c) ``Landscape quality objective" means, for a specific landscape, the formulation by the competent public authorities of the aspirations of the public with regard to the landscape features of their surroundings;

d) ``Landscape protection" means actions to conserve and maintain the significant or characteristic features of a landscape, justified by its heritage value derived from its natural configuration and/or from human activity;

e) ``Landscape management" means action, from a perspective of sustainable development, to ensure the regular upkeep of a landscape, so as to guide and harmonise changes which are brought about by social, economic and environmental processes;

f) ``Landscape planning" means strong forward-looking action to enhance, restore or create landscapes.

European landscape convention › CHAPTER I — GENERAL PROVISIONS

Article 2

Subject to the provisions contained in Article 15, this Convention applies to the entire territory of the Parties and covers natural, rural, urban and peri-urban areas. It includes land, inland water and marine areas. It concerns landscapes that might be considered outstanding as well as everyday or degraded landscapes.

Article 3

The aims of this Convention are to promote landscape protection, management and planning, and to organise European co-operation on landscape issues.

European landscape convention › CHAPTER II — NATIONAL MEASURES

Article 4

Each Party shall implement this Convention, in particular Articles 5 and 6, according to its own division of powers, in conformity with its constitutional principles and administrative arrangements, and respecting the principle of subsidiarity, taking into account the European Charter of Local Self-government. Without derogating from the provisions of this Convention, each Party shall harmonise the implementation of this Convention with its own policies.

Article 5

Each Party undertakes:

a) to recognise landscapes in law as an essential component of people's surroundings, an expression of the diversity of their shared cultural and natural heritage, and a foundation of their identity;

b) to establish and implement landscape policies aimed at landscape protection, management and planning through the adoption of the specific measures set out in Article 6;

c) to establish procedures for the participation of the general public, local and regional authorities, and other parties with an interest in the definition and implementation of the landscape policies mentioned in paragraph b above;

d) to integrate landscape into its regional and town planning policies and in its cultural, environmental, agricultural, social and economic policies, as well as in any other policies with possible direct or indirect impact on landscape.

European landscape convention › CHAPTER II — NATIONAL MEASURES

Article 6

A. Awareness-raising

Each Party undertakes to increase awareness among the civil society, private organisations, and public authorities of the value of landscapes, their role and changes to them.

B. Training and education

Each Party undertakes to promote:

a) training for specialists in landscape appraisal and operations;

b) multidisciplinary training programmes in landscape policy, protection, management and planning, for professionals in the private and public sectors and for associations concerned;

c) school and university courses which, in the relevant subject areas, address the values attaching to landscapes and the issues raised by their protection, management and planning.

C. Identification and assessment

1 With the active participation of the interested parties, as stipulated in Article 5.c, and with a view to improving knowledge of its landscapes, each Party undertakes:

a)

(i) to identify its own landscapes throughout its territory;

(ii) to analyse their characteristics and the forces and pressures transforming them;

(iii) to take note of changes;

b) to assess the landscapes thus identified, taking into account the particular values assigned to them by the interested parties and the population concerned.

2 These identification and assessment procedures shall be guided by the exchanges of experience and methodology, organised between the Parties at European level pursuant to Article 8.

D. Landscape quality objectives

Each Party undertakes to define landscape quality objectives for the landscapes identified and assessed, after public consultation in accordance with Article 5.c.

E. Implementation

To put landscape policies into effect, each Party undertakes to introduce instruments aimed at protecting, managing and/or planning the landscape.

Article 7

Parties undertake to co-operate in the consideration of the landscape dimension of international policies and programmes, and to recommend, where relevant, the inclusion in them of landscape considerations.

Article 8

The Parties undertake to co-operate in order to enhance the effectiveness of measures taken under other articles of this Convention, and in particular:

a) to render each other technical and scientific assistance in landscape matters through the pooling and exchange of experience, and the results of research projects;

b) to promote the exchange of landscape specialists in particular for training and information purposes;

c) to exchange information on all matters covered by the provisions of the Convention.

Article 9

The Parties shall encourage transfrontier co-operation on local and regional level and, wherever necessary, prepare and implement joint landscape programmes.

Article 10

1 Existing competent Committees of Experts set up under Article 17 of the Statute of the Council of Europe shall be designated by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to be responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Convention.

2 Following each meeting of the Committees of Experts, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe shall transmit a report on the work carried out and on the operation of the Convention to the Committee of Ministers.

3 The Committees of Experts shall propose to the Committee of Ministers the criteria for conferring and the rules governing the Landscape award of the Council of Europe.

European landscape convention › CHAPTER III — EUROPEAN CO-OPERATION

Article 11

1 The Landscape award of the Council of Europe is a distinction which may be conferred on local and regional authorities and their groupings that have instituted, as part of the landscape policy of a Party to this Convention, a policy or measures to protect, manage and/or plan their landscape, which have proved lastingly effective and can thus serve as an example to other territorial authorities in Europe. The distinction may be also conferred on non-governmental organisations having made particularly remarkable contributions to landscape protection, management or planning.

2 Applications for the Landscape award of the Council of Europe shall be submitted to the Committees of Experts mentioned in Article 10 by the Parties. Transfrontier local and regional authorities and groupings of local and regional authorities concerned, may apply provided that they jointly manage the landscape in question.

3 On proposals from the Committees of Experts mentioned in Article 10 the Committee of Ministers shall define and publish the criteria for conferring the Landscape award of the Council of Europe, adopt the relevant rules and confer the Award.

4 The granting of the Landscape award of the Council of Europe is to encourage those receiving the award to ensure the sustainable protection, management and/or planning of the landscape areas concerned.

Article 12

The provisions of this Convention shall not prejudice stricter provisions concerning landscape protection, management and planning contained in other existing or future binding national or international instruments.

Article 13

1 This Convention shall be open for signature by the member States of the Council of Europe. It shall be subject to ratification, acceptance or approval. Instruments of ratification, acceptance or approval shall be deposited with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

2 The Convention shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the expiry of a period of three months after the date on which ten member States of the Council of Europe have expressed their consent to be bound by the Convention in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph.

3 In respect of any signatory State which subsequently expresses its consent to be bound by it, the Convention shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the expiry of a period of three months after the date of the deposit of the instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval.

Article 14

1 After the entry into force of this Convention, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe may invite the European Community and any European State which is not a member of the Council of Europe, to accede to the Convention by a majority decision as provided in Article 20.d of the Council of Europe Statute, and by the unanimous vote of the States parties entitled to hold seats in the Committee of Ministers.

2 In respect of any acceding State, or the European Community in the event of its accession, this Convention shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the expiry of a period of three months after the date of deposit of the instrument of accession with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

Article 15

1 Any State or the European Community may, at the time of signature or when depositing its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession, specify the territory or territories to which the Convention shall apply.

2 Any Party may, at any later date, by declaration addressed to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, extend the application of this Convention to any other territory specified in the declaration. The Convention shall take effect in respect of such territory on the first day of the month following the expiry of a period of three months after the date of receipt of the declaration by the Secretary General.

3 Any declaration made under the two paragraphs above may, in respect of any territory mentioned in such declaration, be withdrawn by notification addressed to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe. Such withdrawal shall become effective on the first day of the month following the expiry of a period of three months after the date of receipt of the notification by the Secretary General.

Article 16

1 Any Party may, at any time, denounce this Convention by means of a notification addressed to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

2 Such denunciation shall become effective on the first day of the month following the expiry of a period of three months after the date of receipt of the notification by the Secretary General.

Article 17

1 Any Party or the Committees of Experts mentioned in Article 10 may propose amendments to this Convention.

2 Any proposal for amendment shall be notified to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe who shall communicate it to the member States of the Council of Europe, to the others Parties, and to any European non-member State which has been invited to accede to this Convention in accordance with the provisions of Article 14.

3 The Committees of Experts mentioned in Article 10 shall examine any amendment proposed and submit the text adopted by a majority of three-quarters of the Parties' representatives to the Committee of Ministers for adoption. Following its adoption by the Committee of Ministers by the majority provided for in Article 20.d of the Statute of the Council of Europe and by the unanimous vote of the States parties entitled to hold seats in the Committee of Ministers, the text shall be forwarded to the Parties for acceptance.

4 Any amendment shall enter into force in respect of the Parties which have accepted it on the first day of the month following the expiry of a period of three months after the date on which three Council of Europe member States have informed the Secretary General of their acceptance. In respect of any Party which subsequently accepts it, such amendment shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the expiry of a period of three months after the date on which the said Party has informed the Secretary General of its acceptance.

Article 18

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe shall notify the member States of the Council of Europe, any State or the European Community having acceded to this Convention, of:

a) any signature;

b) the deposit of any instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession;

c) any date of entry into force of this Convention in accordance with Articles 13, 14 and 15;

d) any declaration made under Article 15;

e) any denunciation made under Article 16;

f) any proposal for amendment, any amendment adopted pursuant to Article 17 and the date on which it comes into force;

g) any other act, notification, information or communication relating to this Convention.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK I — ALGEMENE BEPALINGEN

Artikel 1

Voor de toepassing van dit Verdrag wordt verstaan onder:

a. ``Landschap", een gebied, zoals dat door mensen wordt waargenomen, waarvan het karakter bepaald wordt door natuurlijke en/of menselijke factoren en de interactie daartussen;

b. ``Landschapsbeleid", de formulering door de bevoegde publieke autoriteiten van algemene beginselen, strategieën en richtlijnen die het mogelijk maken specifieke maatregelen te treffen gericht op de bescherming, het beheer en de inrichting van landschappen;

c. ``Kwaliteitsdoelstelling voor het landschap", met betrekking tot een specifiek landschap, de formulering door de bevoegde publieke autoriteiten van de wensen van het publiek ten aanzien van de landschapskenmerken van hun omgeving;

d. ``Landschapsbescherming", maatregelen ter bescherming en behoud van de belangrijke of karakteristieke kenmerken van een landschap dat vanwege zijn natuurlijke elementen en/of menselijk ingrijpen waardevol erfgoed vormt;

e. ``Landschapsbeheer", maatregelen, vanuit het oogpunt van duurzame ontwikkeling, ter waarborging van het regelmatig onderhouden van een landschap teneinde de veranderingen die voortvloeien uit maatschappelijke, economische en milieuprocessen te harmoniseren en in goede banen te leiden;

f. ``Landschapsinrichting", sterk op de toekomst gerichte maatregelen om landschappen te verbeteren, te herstellen of te creëren.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK I — ALGEMENE BEPALINGEN

Artikel 2

Het Verdrag is, met inachtneming van de bepalingen van artikel 15, van toepassing op het gehele grondgebied van de Partijen en heeft betrekking op natuurlijke, rurale, stedelijke en perifere stedelijke gebieden. Het omvat landgebieden, binnenwateren en mariene gebieden. Het betreft landschappen die als zeer waardevol beschouwd kunnen worden, maar ook doorsnee of aangetaste landschappen.

Artikel 3

Het doel van dit Verdrag is het bevorderen van de bescherming, het beheer en de inrichting van landschappen en het organiseren van Europese samenwerking op dit gebied.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK II — NATIONALE MAATREGELEN

Artikel 4

Elke Partij voert dit Verdrag, met name de artikelen 5 en 6, uit conform haar eigen verdeling van bevoegdheden, in overeenstemming met haar grondwettelijke beginselen en administratieve regelingen, en met inachtneming van het subsidiariteitsbeginsel, rekening houdend met het Europees Handvest inzake lokale autonomie. Elke Partij voert dit Verdrag uit in overeenstemming met haar eigen beleid, zonder afbreuk te doen aan de bepalingen van dit Verdrag.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK II — NATIONALE MAATREGELEN

Artikel 5

Elke Partij verplicht zich ertoe:

a. in haar wetgeving landschappen te erkennen als een essentieel onderdeel van de omgeving van mensen, als uitdrukking van de diversiteit van hun gezamenlijk cultureel en natuurlijk erfgoed, en als grondslag van hun identiteit;

b. landschapsbeleid te formuleren en te implementeren gericht op landschapsbescherming, -beheer en -inrichting middels het aannemen van de specifieke maatregelen zoals vervat in artikel 6;

c. procedures in te stellen voor inspraak van het algemeen publiek, lokale en regionale autoriteiten en andere partijen die belang hebben bij de formulering en implementatie van het landschapsbeleid zoals genoemd in het bovenstaande onderdeel b;

d. landschap te integreren in haar beleid op het gebied van ruimtelijke ordening en stadsplanning en in haar cultureel, milieu-, landbouw-, maatschappelijk en economisch beleid, alsmede in ander beleid dat rechtstreekse of onrechtstreekse gevolgen heeft voor het landschap.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK II — NATIONALE MAATREGELEN

Artikel 6

A. Bewustmaking

Elke Partij verbindt zich ertoe het maatschappelijk middenveld, particuliere organisaties en publieke autoriteiten bewuster te maken van de waarde van landschappen, de rol ervan en de veranderingen die zij ondergaan.

B. Training en onderwijs

Elke Partij verbindt zich ertoe het volgende te bevorderen:

a. training van deskundigen op het gebied van beoordeling van de waarde van en ingrepen in landschappen;

b. multidisciplinaire trainingsprogramma's op het gebied van landschapsbeleid, -bescherming, -beheer en -inrichting, voor beroepsbeoefenaren in de private en publieke sectoren en voor de betrokken organisaties;

c. onderricht op scholen en universiteiten waarin, binnen het kader van de relevante vakken, aandacht wordt geschonken aan de waarde van landschappen en de problemen die samenhangen met de bescherming, het beheer en de inrichting ervan.

C. Identificatie en beoordeling

1 Met de actieve deelname van de betrokken partijen, zoals vermeld in artikel 5, onderdeel c, en met het oog op een betere kennis van haar landschappen, verbindt elke Partij zich ertoe:

a.

i. binnen haar eigen grondgebied haar eigen landschappen te identificeren;

ii. een analyse uit te voeren van de kenmerken ervan en van de krachten en invloeden die tot verandering van het landschap leiden;

iii. veranderingen te volgen.

b. de aldus geïdentificeerde landschappen te beoordelen, rekening houdend met de bijzondere waarde die eraan wordt toegekend door de belanghebbende partijen en de betrokken bevolking.

2 Deze procedures voor identificatie en beoordeling vinden plaats aan de hand van uitwisselingen van ervaringen en methoden, die door de Partijen op Europees niveau worden georganiseerd ingevolge artikel 8.

D. Kwaliteitsdoelstellingen voor het landschap

Elke Partij verbindt zich ertoe kwaliteitsdoelstellingen voor landschappen te omschrijven met betrekking tot de geïdentificeerde en beoordeelde landschappen, na inspraak van het publiek in overeenstemming met artikel 5, onderdeel c.

E. Uitvoering

Teneinde uitvoering te geven aan het landschapsbeleid, verbindt elke Partij zich ertoe instrumenten in te voeren gericht op de bescherming, het beheer en/of de inrichting van het landschap.

Artikel 7

Partijen verbinden zich ertoe samen te werken bij het integreren van het landschap als dimensie in internationaal beleid en internationale programma's, en waar relevant, de aanbeveling te doen daarin overwegingen van landschappelijke aard op te nemen.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK III — EUROPESE SAMENWERKING

Artikel 8

De Partijen verbinden zich ertoe samen te werken om de doeltreffendheid te verbeteren van maatregelen genomen ingevolge andere artikelen van dit Verdrag, en met name;

a. elkaar technische en wetenschappelijke bijstand te verlenen op het gebied van landschappen middels het bundelen en uitwisselen van ervaringen en de resultaten van onderzoeksprojecten;

b. de uitwisseling van landschapsspecialisten te bevorderen met name ten behoeve van training en informatie;

c. informatie uit te wisselen over alle zaken waarop de bepalingen van dit Verdrag betrekking hebben.

Artikel 9

De Partijen bevorderen grensoverschrijdende samenwerking op lokaal en regionaal niveau en stellen waar nodig gezamenlijke landschapsprogramma's op en implementeren deze.

Artikel 10

1 Bestaande bevoegde Comités van deskundigen die zijn ingesteld ingevolge artikel 17 van het Statuut van de Raad van Europa worden door het Comité van Ministers van de Raad van Europa aangewezen om de uitvoering van dit Verdrag te controleren.

2 Na elke bijeenkomst van de Comités van deskundigen zendt de Secretaris-Generaal van de Raad van Europa een rapport over het uitgevoerde werk en over de werking van het Verdrag aan het Comité van Ministers.

3 De Comités van deskundigen doen het Comité van Ministers een voorstel ten aanzien van de toekenningscriteria en het reglement met betrekking tot de Landschapsprijs van de Raad van Europa.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK III — EUROPESE SAMENWERKING

Artikel 11

1 De Landschapsprijs van de Raad van Europa is een onderscheiding die kan worden toegekend aan lokale of regionale autoriteiten of groepen van lokale of regionale autoriteiten die, als onderdeel van het landschapsbeleid van een Partij bij dit Verdrag, beleid of maatregelen hebben ingevoerd voor de bescherming, het beheer en/of de inrichting van hun landschap waarvan de doeltreffendheid op langere termijn is bewezen en die derhalve andere autoriteiten tot voorbeeld kunnen strekken. De onderscheiding kan ook worden toegekend aan niet-gouvernementele organisaties die een zeer bijzondere bijdrage hebben geleverd aan de bescherming, het beheer of de inrichting van landschappen.

2 Voordrachten voor de Landschapsprijs van de Raad van Europa dienen door de Partijen te worden gezonden naar de Comités van deskundigen genoemd in artikel 10. Grensoverschrijdende lokale en regionale autoriteiten en groepen van lokale en regionale autoriteiten mogen zich kandidaat stellen mits zij het landschap in kwestie gezamenlijk beheren.

3 Na voorstellen van de Comités van deskundigen genoemd in artikel 10, stelt het Comité van Ministers de criteria vast voor de toekenning van de Landschapsprijs van de Raad van Europa, publiceert deze, neemt het desbetreffende reglement aan en kent de prijs toe.

4 Met de toekenning van de Landschapsprijs van de Raad van Europa wordt beoogd de ontvangers van de prijs aan te moedigen een duurzame bescherming, beheer en/of inrichting te waarborgen van de desbetreffende landschapsgebieden.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK IV — SLOTBEPALINGEN

Artikel 12

De bepalingen van dit Verdrag doen geen afbreuk aan strengere bepalingen inzake landschapsbescherming, -beheer en -inrichting vervat in andere bestaande of toekomstige bindende nationale of internationale instrumenten.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK IV — SLOTBEPALINGEN

Artikel 13

1 Dit Verdrag staat open voor ondertekening door de lidstaten van de Raad van Europa. Het dient te worden bekrachtigd, aanvaard of goedgekeurd. De akten van bekrachtiging, aanvaarding of goedkeuring worden nedergelegd bij de Secretaris-Generaal van de Raad van Europa.

2 Dit Verdrag treedt in werking op de eerste dag van de maand die volgt op het verstrijken van een tijdvak van drie maanden na de datum waarop tien lidstaten van de Raad van Europa hun instemming door het Verdrag te worden gebonden tot uitdrukking hebben gebracht overeenkomstig het bepaalde in het voorgaande lid.

3 Met betrekking tot iedere lidstaat die later zijn instemming door het Verdrag te worden gebonden tot uitdrukking brengt, treedt het Verdrag in werking op de eerste dag van de maand na het verstrijken van een tijdvak van drie maanden na de datum van de nederlegging van de akte van bekrachtiging, aanvaarding of goedkeuring.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK IV — SLOTBEPALINGEN

Artikel 14

1 Na de inwerkingtreding van dit Verdrag, kan het Comité van Ministers van de Raad van Europa de Europese Gemeenschap en iedere Europese staat die geen lid is van de Raad van Europa uitnodigen toe te treden tot dit Verdrag, door een door de meerderheid als voorzien in artikel 20, onderdeel d, van het Statuut van de Raad van Europa genomen besluit en met algemene stemmen van de vertegenwoordigers van de Staten die Partij zijn die recht hebben op een zetel in het Comité van Ministers.

2 Ten aanzien van iedere toetredende Staat, of de Europese Gemeenschap ingeval zij toetreedt, treedt dit Verdrag in werking op de eerste dag van de maand na het verstrijken van een tijdvak van drie maanden na de datum van nederlegging van de akte van toetreding bij de Secretaris-Generaal van de Raad van Europa.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK IV — SLOTBEPALINGEN

Artikel 15

1 Elke staat of de Europese Gemeenschap kan, bij de ondertekening of bij de nederlegging van zijn of haar akte van bekrachtiging, aanvaarding, goedkeuring of toetreding, het gebied of de gebieden waarop het Verdrag van toepassing is nader aanduiden.

2 Elke Partij kan, op elk later tijdstip, door middel van een aan de Secretaris-Generaal van de Raad van Europa gerichte verklaring, de toepassing van dit Verdrag uitbreiden tot ieder ander in de verklaring aangewezen grondgebied. Ten aanzien van een dergelijk gebied treedt dit Verdrag in werking op de eerste dag van de maand die volgt op het verstrijken van een tijdvak van drie maanden na de datum van ontvangst van de verklaring door de Secretaris-Generaal.

3 Iedere overeenkomstig de twee voorgaande leden afgelegde verklaring kan, met betrekking tot elk in die verklaring aangewezen grondgebied, worden ingetrokken door middel van een aan de Secretaris-Generaal van de Raad van Europa gerichte kennisgeving. De intrekking wordt van kracht op de eerste dag van de maand die volgt op het verstrijken van een tijdvak van drie maanden na de datum van ontvangst van de kennisgeving door de Secretaris-Generaal.

Artikel 16

1 Iedere Partij kan dit Verdrag te allen tijde opzeggen door middel van een kennisgeving gericht aan de Secretaris-Generaal van de Raad van Europa.

2 Deze opzegging wordt van kracht op de eerste dag van de maand die volgt op het verstrijken van een tijdvak van drie maanden na de datum van ontvangst van de kennisgeving door de Secretaris-Generaal.

Artikel 17

1 Elke Partij of de Comités van deskundigen genoemd in artikel 10 kan respectievelijk kunnen wijzigingen van dit Verdrag voorstellen.

2 Van elk voorstel tot wijziging wordt de Secretaris-Generaal van de Raad van Europa in kennis gesteld, die het doet toekomen aan de lidstaten van de Raad van Europa, aan de andere Partijen en aan elke Europese niet-lidstaat die is uitgenodigd toe te treden tot dit Verdrag in overeenstemming met de bepalingen van artikel 14.

3 De in artikel 10 genoemde Comités van deskundigen onderzoeken elke voorgestelde wijziging en leggen de tekst die is aangenomen met een meerderheid van drievierde van de vertegenwoordigers van de Partijen ter aanneming voor aan het Comité van Ministers. Na aanneming door het Comité van Ministers met de in artikel 20, onderdeel d, van het Statuut van de Raad van Europa voorziene meerderheid en met algemene stemmen van de Staten die Partij zijn die recht hebben op een zetel in het Comité van Ministers, wordt de tekst ter aanvaarding aan de Partijen gezonden.

4 Ten aanzien van de Partijen die een wijziging hebben aanvaard treedt deze in werking op de eerste dag van de maand die volgt op het verstrijken van een tijdvak van drie maanden na de datum waarop drie lidstaten van de Raad van Europa de Secretaris-Generaal ervan in kennis hebben gesteld dat zij de wijziging hebben aanvaard. Met betrekking tot iedere Partij die nadien de wijziging aanvaardt, wordt de wijziging van kracht op de eerste dag van de maand die volgt op het verstrijken van een tijdvak van drie maanden na de datum waarop die Partij de Secretaris-Generaal in kennis heeft gesteld van haar aanvaarding.

Europees landschapsverdrag › HOOFDSTUK IV — SLOTBEPALINGEN

Artikel 18

De Secretaris-Generaal van de Raad van Europa stelt de lidstaten van de Raad van Europa en iedere Staat, of de Europese Gemeenschap, die tot dit Verdrag is toegetreden, in kennis van:

a. alle ondertekeningen;

b. de nederlegging van elke akte van bekrachtiging, aanvaarding, goedkeuring of toetreding;

c. elke datum van inwerkingtreding van dit Verdrag in overeenstemming met de artikelen 13, 14 en 15;

d. elke verklaring ingevolge artikel 15;

d. elke opzegging ingevolge artikel 16;

f. elk voorstel tot wijziging, elke wijziging die ingevolge artikel 17 is aangenomen en de datum van inwerkingtreding ervan;

g. iedere andere handeling, kennisgeving, informatie of mededeling met betrekking tot dit Verdrag.
