The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands presents its compliments to the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland and has the honour to propose with reference to article 41, paragraph 2 of the Convention based on Article K.3 of the Treaty on European Union, on the establishment of a European Police Office (Europol Convention, 26 July 1995) that the privileges and immunities necessary for the proper performance of the tasks of the liaison officers at Europol be agreed upon as set out in the Attachment.

If this proposal is acceptable to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ireland, the Embassy proposes that this note and the affirmative note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall constitute an Agreement between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Ireland, which shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the day on which both Parties have informed each other in writing that the legal requirements for entry into force have been complied with.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland the assurances of its highest consideration.
