Provisions on the Status of the Planning Element in Denmark

1 The Planning Element will have the capacity:

a) To enter into contracts;

b) To acquire and dispose of movable property;

c) To file, consider and settle or adjudicate claims in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding concerning the Operation, Funding, Administration and Status of the Planning Element of the Multinational United Nations Standby Forces High Readiness Brigade;

d) To institute legal proceedings.

2 The Planning Element and the Danish Ministry of Defence may agree that the Danish authorities will act on behalf of the Planning Element in any legal proceedings to which the Planning Element is a party before Danish courts. The costs connected to carrying out contracts or settling legal actions will be borne by the Planning Element.
