Eed en belofte Rijk Honorair Consul (Engels) Uitvoeringsbesluit Ambtenarenwet 2017

I swear/affirm that I acquired the office of honorary consul for the Kingdom of Netherlands fairly. That means:

– I have taken up this office voluntarily. I did not accept or offer any bribe, gift or promise.

– I provided truthful information and did not conceal anything that might be relevant to this office.

I swear/promise to be faithful to the Dutch King and the Dutch Constitution and to serve the Netherlands as befits a good honorary consul. That means:

– I will do my best to promote the interests of Dutch nationals abroad and Dutch trade interests.

– I will perform my duties ethically and treat everyone fairly, equally and with respect.

– I will handle information with care and I know that I must keep confidential information secret.

– In the performance of my office, I will conduct myself in accordance with Dutch law and any other rules of conduct that apply to me, and I will undertake timely consultation should there be any conflict with local law.
